October Vacations are the Best!

What started as a low key stay-cation in October turned into quite a week-long adventure of many min-road trips!  There were a string of five nights in a row where we left to drive somewhere after the boys were asleep.  Some of our adventures have already been covered, namely the trip to the Children's Museum and the trip to the orchard.

We took a trip back to my hometown mainly to visit my grandfather.  On our way, we stopped at my friend Allyson's parents' house to visit.  She was in from California for the week so it was a fun time as she met Caleb and I met little Evan, who was born in June.

The boys had fun playing together, and I think they will in the future, too.  We just need to help get her back to Kentucky!

It is crazy to think these four cuties are ours!

Here, Ryan and Adam were getting some work done in Sam and Alice's nice landscaping! :o)

Next we drove to Tennessee to visit my friend Candace.   This is her son, Luke, who also is two.

Handsome fella, huh?

Here's Luke and Caleb in the play area at Chick-fil-A.

Caleb was already asleep at this point, but here we are with our big boys.  Candace is expecting now, and I am hoping she has a girl!

Cute pic of friends.

Time out back in Lex for haircuts - we had family pictures made this week too!

We took an evening trip to Cynthiana to visit my grandparents too.

On our last day, we met up with a few friends from pharmacy school at Keeneland.

Here is Michelle and her baby girl, Ava.

Here is Becky, who since this day has had her second, a baby girl!  She now has David and Mary Cate.

What a fun day and a great way to wrap up an exciting week!  I love vacation!

Pumpkin Pickin'

We had our annual visit to a local pumpkin patch last week.  Here are some pics from our day.

Caleb is my little dare-devil.  Maybe it helps to be the second child, but he finds no slide too tall for him!

All aboard!  Where to folks?

Trip to the Museum

We started off our fall vacation with a bang by visiting the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  This was our first trip, and our friends the Andersons joined us there to escort us through all the fun.

There was tons to do there, even for these little guys.

Caleb loved finding a lawn mower that he didn't have to share with Adam!

That was because Adam was busy planting/digging up flowers.

Lunch break!  Dustin and Adam were so excited to play together yesterday.

The huge colored glass display has a hands-on fun section for the kiddos.  I know, kids playing with "glass" kinda tripped me up too!

Adam was on a mission to move all of these off the wall and put them back on the stands.

Friends...

If you think taking two boys to the museum and setting them loose was hard, think again.  I promise, I really had 3 kids playing in the museum! Nope, not a little guy nearby, but I caught David building a dam at this water table - hehe!

The dirt and rock section was the biggest hit, probably.  All the boys loved filling up the carts and then dumping them in the hole again.  I'm pretty sure I'd love to have this kind of "dirt" and "rocks" at my house.  Easy clean-up!

Passed out!  Caleb didn't even make it to the car.

What a fun day!

Tailgating

It's game time.

Adam went to his first UK football game this year for the opening home game.  He thought it was pretty interesting - well, especially the popcorn!  We bought a drink and popcorn, spilled the popcorn, re-bought the popcorn, cheered a little bit, switched seats a few times, looked around a bit, then called Daddy to come get us!  It was naptime, and tailgating is hard work too!

Seeing his friend, the Chick-fil-A cow!

Look at us!

We are # 1 in cuteness, if nothing else!

Yay, Caleb says, "Go Cats!"
